Wineries, Breweries, & Distilleries

Weatherseal Insulation has completed energy audits, energy efficiency retrofits, insulation installations and comprehensive energy upgrades to a large number of wineries and breweries throughout Virginia. An energy efficiency upgrade from Weatherseal Insulation leads not only to a reduced environmental impact, but to improved building comfort and indoor air quality, as well as reduced energy bills (lowering overhead costs and improving the business’s bottom line).

Take a look at a few of the wineries and breweries Weatherseal has had the pleasure of improving:

Castle Hill Cider

Castle Hill Cider is a Virginia cidery and site for weddings and other events. Founded in 1764, the estate was originally the home of Colonel Thomas Walker, a prominent Virginian and mentor to Thomas Jefferson. The Barn on the estate was constructed in 1998, originally for cattle auctions, before it was transformed into a cidery and premier venue.

Castle Hill Cider is located in Keswick, Virginia, in the heart of Virginia’s equestrian and fox hunting country.

Pippin Hill Farm & Vineyards

Pippin Hill Farm & Vineyards is a boutique winery and vineyard located along the Monticello Wine Trail.

A popular destination venue for weddings and other events, Pippin Hill offers stunning views of the Blue Ridge Mountains, farm-fresh food, and thanks to Weatherseal Insulation, a more comfortable, healthy and energy efficient indoor experience.

Trump Winery

Trump Winery is located in Charlottesville, Virginia, among the Blue Ridge Mountains and the Monticello Wine Trail. With more than 1,000 acres of scenery and a premier wedding and event venue, the Trump Winery is a stunning estate.

Weatherseal Insulation is proud to have served as an energy efficiency consultant and contractor for the Trump Winery, improving comfort and indoor air quality while reducing the environmental impact of this gorgeous property.

Devils Backbone Brewing Company

Devils Backbone Brewing Company is a brewpub located in Roseland, Virginia, close to the Wintergreen Resort. It was established in 2008. In 2012, a 15,000 square foot production facility and tap room, referred to as the “Outpost Brewery”, was established near Lexington, Virginia.

Jefferson Vineyards

Jefferson Vineyards is a family owned winery and vineyard in Charlottesville, Virginia, located where Thomas Jefferson and Philip Mazzei first began the American wine revolution. Thirty four years ago, we introduced quality modern viticulture to Virginia, helping realize Jeffersonā€™s dream. Our winery offers select wines of superior quality and is considered to have ā€œone of the regionā€™s most consistent track recordsā€ (Wine Spectator).

Pollak Vineyards

Pollak Vineyards is a small family-owned winery founded in 2003 with the purchase of a 98-acre farm west of Charlottesville and Crozet, Virginia. Today we have 27 acres of French vinifera used to make estate grown wine that has the finesse and balance of the traditional French varietals.

Our tasting room and patio offer views of our first vines, the pond and the nearby Blue Ridge Mountains. It is a scenic setting to enjoy a glass of wine and some of the best of Central Virginiaā€™s wine country.

King Family Vineyards

King Family Vineyards is a family owned and operated vineyard and boutique winery located in Crozet, Virginia, 15 minutes west of Charlottesville, at the foot of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Our 31 acres of vines have produced award winning wines including Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, Malbec, Chardonnay, Viognier and Petit Manseng. The covered veranda, expansive lawn, and brick patio are perfect for outdoor picnics while the Tasting Room and warm stone fireplace are inviting on cooler days. A selection of gourmet cheeses, salamis, spreads and hot french bread are available in our Tasting Room. Visit on Sundays in May through October for Roseland Polo matches.. The King Family – David & Ellen, Carrington & Corie, Stuart & Ali, James & Kelly invite you to come and enjoy a special part of Virginia wine country.

Grace Estate Winery

At Grace Estate Winery an old world family heritage blends a new world wine tradition with Virginia terroir and winemaker Jake Busching. Mount Juliet Farm is a producer of 55 acres of wine grapes in Albemarle County VA. MJF has been selling fruit to the state industry since 1999 with varieties like Viognier, Chardonnay, Petit Manseng, Petit Verdot, Merlot, Malbec, Cab Franc, Cab Sauv and Tannat. MJF is now expanding into a winery under the direction of Jake Busching, former winemaker at Pollak Vineyards, and past vineyard manager at Keswick and Jefferson Vineyards.
